In 1989, after passing some odd colored formations that he had passed before 30 to 40 times, Ron Wyatt was impressed to stop and closely examine them. What he discovered was the most visible, accessible authentication of the literal Word of God ever found.
These ashen structural remains were saturated with encapsulated sulfur balls or leftover "fire and brimstone from Heaven." The sphinx, ziggurat, right angles and wall shapes complete with ramparts became visible even to the untrained eye.
Fire and Brimstone
The sites contain encapsulated balls of sulfur (brimstone) embedded within the ash structures — a unique geological phenomenon found at no other location on earth. These sulfur balls average 95–98% pure sulfur, far exceeding naturally occurring sulfur deposits, consistent with an extraordinary heat event described in Genesis 19.
Ash City Structures
The cities appear to have been formed of a white, powdery ash material that still retains the shapes of buildings, walls, and architectural features, all visible from aerial survey.
Biblical Correlation
The location south of the Dead Sea aligns with biblical geography, and the distinctive sulfur evidence matches the Genesis account of divine judgment upon the cities of the plain.
